#Positively Stressed - Week 24
My grandfather told me the secret to marriage is making your spouse laugh at least once per day. It was good advice as my grandparents were married for 50 years!
The medical science also backs this up as true laughter release additional endorphins, dopamine, serotonin, and oxytocin (all of the “good” hormones) while simultaneously reducing cortisol and adrenaline (the “bad” hormones).
So I’m going to need some community engagement! I want your best jokes in the comments – dad jokes, shaggy dog jokes, knock-knocks, puns, you name it!
And to get it started off:
A duck walks into a hardware store and asks the clerk, “Got any duck food?”
The clerk says, “No,” and the duck walks out.
The duck walks back into the same hardware store 20 minutes later and asks the clerk, “Got any duck food?”
The clerk says, “No, I’ve already told you! Get out!” and the duck walks out.
The duck walks back into the same hardware store 20 minutes later and asks the clerk, “Got any duck food?”
The clerk says, “No, I’ve already told you twice already! If I have to tell you one more time, I’m going to nail your webbed feet to the floor!” So the duck walked out.
The duck walks back into the same hardware store 20 minutes later and asks the clerk, “Got any hammers?”
The clerk looks at him funny, goes to the shelf and after seeing no hammers says, “Nope, looks like we just sold our last one.”
The duck says, “Good! Got any duck food?”
