So how do you teach your brain what a “stressor stimulus” is and what it is not?
One way to teach your brain what is not a stressor stimulus is to use what are called “grounding techniques”.

#Positively Stressed - Week 1
I am an attorney, non-combat disabled veteran, cancer survivor, husband, girl-dad, dog-dad, and community board member.
I live with significant anxiety and sometimes depression about most of those aspects of my life. I’ve been in mental health counseling for about half my life – and I still have problems.
Why am I saying all of this?

Coming soon.
Starting tomorrow I will be featuring a weekly piece written by a good friend of mine. A US Navy veteran and lawyer (among other things) Steve Delcuze is a friend I met in college. Life took us in different directions, but we always made a point to stay in touch. As luck would have it we both were diagnosed with cancer within a couple of months of each other and we became a source of support for one another.
